About the Project:
Background: The former bridge had an 8.25-meter single span, 3.5m width with a narrow and dilapidated timber deck in addition to having no parapets.
Uganda National Roads Authority procured Dynaco Limited to replace the bridge with one that could meet the development and access demands. Dynaco sourced the consultancy services of Centre for Infrastructure Consulting (CIC) Limited to undertake the design and construction supervision of Osu Bridge.
The proposed bridge was a steel, five-girder composite 20m single span bridge designed for a 120 year working life.
